Competitive Gymnastics
We offer all levels of competitive gymnastics. Under competitive gymnastics, we offer two streams: Levels and Elite. Our aim is to help each child achieve his or her ultimate potential in gymnastics, whatever that might be.
Our levels gymnasts train the Irish Gymnastics levels 1-10 and compete regionally and nationally. We have had a great deal of success on a national level throughout the levels, winning 77 medals in 2010.
Our elite/pre-elite squad gymnasts are training with the goal of reaching Elite level which is the highest level of gymnastics. At this level, gymnasts can be selected to compete for Ireland internationally.
Both of our competitive streams are by invitation only. Children who show talent and a have a good work ethos would be assessed and placed into the appropriate level/stream. Children participating in the Elite stream are expected to have a high degree of motivation and a willingness to commit to the training regime appropriate for that level. Children who are in the competitive levels stream may be invited to switch to the elite stream if they show a desire to take their training to a higher level.
As in recreational gymnastics, our gymnasts work towards a list of skills designed to meet individual goals.
