Our Coaching Team

Sam

Sam is our Programme Coordinator, Focus on Inclusion, and has been involved in gymnastics since she was a toddler back in New York. Over the years she has transitioned from gymnast to coach to programme coordinator and has found her primary passion lies within the participation program. Sam believes that gymnastics can benefit everyone and is determined to work out ways to help all gymnasts find a home within the sport. Sam’s personal background is in WAG and Inclusion but she loves to work with different types of gymnastics to help each gymnast find out what suits them best too.

Ciara

Ciara is one of RGC’s WAG Performance Coaches and our Team Lead with the focus on WAG. She leads the WAG Plus levels Programme and early talent ID is one of her many expertise. She is also passionate about inclusion and involved in our GymAble programmes. Ciara began gymnastics when she was six and has previously competed nationally and internationally as part of the Irish team in the acrobatic discipline. She is a qualified sport and exercise scientist and holds an MSc in Sport and Clinical Biomechanics. In 2021 Ciara received the RGC Coaches Recognition Award for her outstanding work though out the year.

Ciara aspires to learn and grow as a coach and has a particular interest in continuining to develop her coaching knowledge in the WAG discipline. She holds both a GymStart 2 and WAG 3 Qualification, and a WAG level 2 judging qualification.

Elaine

Elaine is our Lead Tumbling Coach who has been coaching since she was 16 years of age. Elaine holds a level 5 high performance coaching qualification and is the current national tumbling coach for Ireland. 

Elaine has helped numerous athletes to reach not only their personal goals but also to become national champions, international medallists, as well as becoming competitors at European and world championships Elaine also holds a current brevet judging qualification.

Juliana

Originally from Brazil, Juliana joined our team in 2024.

Juliana is the current RGC pre-school lead. She creates and designs the themes and circuits for all our under 5 gymnasts. Juliana holds a GymStart 1 qualification and is a GymStart judge.

She also contributes to the WAG programme using her expertise in ballet, flexibility and dance.

Parruan

Parruan has over 15 years experience in artistic gymnastics. He is a strength and conditioning specialist with a particular interest in physical preparation. Parruan also has a background in ballet making him a fantastic asset to the club.

Parruan works across all groups and levels from Parent and Toddler to Performance.

Orla primarily coaches the under 5’s and under 8’s groups. She’s been part of the coaching team for over eight years and holds a level 2 Gymstart qualification.

Emer was a gymnast representing both RGC and Ireland until 2018. She has been coaching for the past eight years and is a level 2 WAG coach.

Caoimhe competed in Acrobatic gymnastics and began coaching aged 16. She works in our WAG programme and is a qualified WAG judge. Caoimhe is currently completing her level 3 WAG coaching qualification and also holds an Acro qualification.

Maria has been coaching for the past five years. She works in our participation programme with gymnasts aged 3 and up.

Nicole primarily works with our tumblers, teens and participation classes. She joined the club in 2007 and has been with us ever since! She is a former RGC tumbler and qualified as a level 2 tumbling coach and level 3 judge, Nicole also holds a masters degree in Human Movement Science, Sports & Nutrition.

Sadhbh joined RGC as a gymnast and never left! She is a WAG 2 coach who is passionate about keeping teenage girls in sport. Sadhbh is a WAG Level 3 coach and currently a level 2 WAG judge.

Ceire has been with RGC over 20 years both as a gymnast and coach. She is a level 3 WAG coach and a level 4 national WAG judge. Ceire has huge expertise and interest in keeping teenage girls in sport.

Dale has been part of team RGC for over 15 years! She primarily coaches in the WAG programme and holds a level 3 qualification. Dale has travelled internationally with Team Ireland and was previously named G.I.’s young coach of the year.
