Sam
Sam is our Head Coach in charge of our Participation Programme and has been involved in gymnastics since she was a toddler back in New York. Over the years she has transitioned from gymnast to coach to programme coordinator and has found her primary passion lies within the participation program. Sam believes that gymnastics can benefit everyone and is determined to work out ways to help all gymnasts find a home within the sport. Sam’s personal background is in WAG and Inclusion but she loves to work with different types of gymnastics to help each gymnast find out what suits them best too.
Ciara
Ciara currently oversees the early years programme at RGC, looking after our littlest gymnasts! She is particularly passionate about inclusion and is also involved in our GymAble programmes. Ciara began gymnastics when she was six and has previously competed nationally and internationally as part of the Irish team in the acrobatic discipline. She is a qualified sport and exercise scientist and is currently undertaking a MSc in Sport and Clinical Biomechanics. In 2021 Ciara received the RGC Coaches Recognition Award for her outstanding work though out the year.
Ciara aspires to learn and grow as a coach and has a particular interest in developing her coaching knowledge in the WAG discipline.
Elaine
Elaine is our Lead Tumbling Coach who has been coaching since she was 16 years of age. Elaine holds a level 5 high performance coaching qualification and is the current national tumbling coach for Ireland.
Elaine has helped numerous athletes to reach not only their personal goals but also to become national champions, international medallists, as well as becoming competitors at European and world championships Elaine also holds a current brevet judging qualification.
Chris
Chris joined RGC from the United States in 2022 as part of the High Performance coaching team. He holds a Masters degree in Sports Management and Education. Following the completion of his Masters degree, he worked as an NCAA gymnastics coach for five years while also coaching elite and level 10 athletes in various clubs prior to moving to Ireland.
During his NCAA career, Chris has had much success on the National stage and is hoping to bring his successes to the International stage here in Ireland. He has a deep passion for coaching and developing young people in the sport of gymnastics.
Aurora
Originally from Murcia, a small city in the southeast of Spain, Aurora joined the RGC team in 2020.
Starting her gymnastics journey aged 6 Aurora has competed at national level in Spain. In later years whilst continuing her training she also gained her coaching qualifications and went on to qualify as a level 2 Rhythmic Gymnastics judge.
Aurora currently leads RGC’s Rythmic programme coaching gymnasts from beginner level through development and up to international competitive standard.
Alanna
Alanna began her journey in trampoline gymnastics. After many years of both training and competing she moved into coaching. Alanna holds a level 2 WAG qualification and is currently working toward a tumbling qualification.
Alanna joined team RGC in 2022 and currently coaches in the Participation Programme and in the WAG and Tumbling programmes. She hopes to develop and grow her coaching knowledge learning from all the coaches here.
Caoimhe competed in Acrobatic gymnastics and began coaching aged 16. She works in our WAG programme and is a qualified WAG judge. Caoimhe is currently completing her level 3 WAG coaching qualification and also holds an Acro qualification.
Maria has been coaching for the past five years. She works in our participation programme with gymnasts aged 3 and up.
