England Trip Photos!
On the 1st of November, 23 members of Renmore Gymnastics Club (19 gymnasts and 4 coaches) traveled to train at Lilleshall the British National Training Centre near Birmingham in the UK. The training sessions were part of an annual camp run by Gymnastics Ireland and the head of the High Performance sector, Sally Filmer. The gymnasts spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday training hard in the world class facilities followed by gymnast entertainment evenings where everyone had a chance to bond with many other gymnasts who had also flown over from Ireland for the camp. The camp was beneficial for both gymnasts and coaches as various informational lectures were held for coaches in the evenings after training. These included a short lecture on the biomechanics of the asymmetric bars given by Renmore coach Ariel.
