Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic Gymnastics is one of the most beautiful and precise Olympic Sports. It is a combination of the dynamics and flexibility of gymnastics, the technical knowledge of ballet, and the self-expression and rhythm of modern dance. Unmatched for its elegant, expressive, precise and graceful movements, Rhythmic Gymnastics is using colourful hand-held apparatus such as hoops, balls, ropes, ribbons, and clubs in specially choreographed rhythmic group and solo routines

The benefits of Rhythmic Gymnastics to girls in their formative years include physical fitness, self-discipline, positive self-esteem, lasting friendships, team skills, fun and a healthy lifestyle that the gymnast will sustain for life.

Renmore Gymnastics is working towards expanding their Rhythmic classes in term 2 with a new recreational class running on Weds from 4:30-5:30. Let us know if you are interested in trying this new and exciting introductory class!

Some of our rhythmic gymnasts will also be performing in a christmas display this year. Stay tuned for more information!

Recreational Star Gymnasts!!!

Congratulations to our STAR recreational gymnasts for the month of September! All September our recreational classes have been working on improving and developing their handstand techniques. The Coaches checked each child’s handstand progressions last week to see who had shown the most improvement in their handstands from start to finish. The girls and boys were all assessed on how well they could use the correct shapes from start to finish and 10 gymnasts were picked for exhibiting STAR quality work. I was impressed by how well ALL the gymnasts within the recreational program had worked and am very excited about this next months jumping challenge!

CONGRATULATIONS BOYS AND GIRLS!!!

Thank you Renmore GC Volunteers!

It’s been another busy week in the gym, and not just for the awesome gymnasts training hard. Once again a huge thank you to all the parents that gave up their time, energy and skills to help make our gym better than ever. Willie Shaw spent 2 days power washing the walls and car park, thank you so much Willie! And for the continued hard work of Yutaka, Pat, Rob and Brian for building our new changing room partition wall! Your help is very much appreciated xx

Demolition Dads!

Huge thanks to the wonderful Dad’s that gave up their Saturday to help pull down the old toilet block today. We would like to thank all of our volunteers, Fergus, Pat, Brian, Rob and Yutaka for their handy demolition skills and also to John Lynsky for his huge contribution of plumbing work.
