National Gymnastics Day for Ireland?

Hi everyone, so yesterday (Saturday 17th) was National gymnastics day in the US where thousands of clubs across America attempted to break the World Record for the most people doing a handstand at the same time! Soooooo I was thinking we should start a campaign for a National Gymnastics day in Ireland. The idea is to raise the awareness of the sport Nationwide to celebrate the sport itself and to all have fun together for a day! During the US celebration they also selected a well deserved charity that they can raise money for at the same time. I think it sounds like a great idea!

Renmore Gymnasts visit Tolworth Gymnastics Club

To finish off the summer training, three members of Renmore’s elite squad traveled to the UK with Ariel and Elaine to take part in summer camp run by one of the UK’s top clubs, Tolworth Gymnastics Club.

The camp was led by John Pirrie and was attended by several members of The Great Britain Squad. The girls and coaches learned so much from this trip and look forward to planning more in the future. Also, we were so inspired that we will be welcoming John Pirrie to Renmore from the 1st-5th of November!

Wesco Gymnastics Equipment

Our main suppliers of gymnastics equipment until now have been Gymnova and Continental Sports, both well known international suppliers.

We were very interested to have a visit recently from Wesco Ireland and to discover their foam modules, which we are now trying out in our gym. We now have some Wesco’s pre-school and recreational products in use at the training centre with a view to assess them against other market leaders. So far, the range of soft foam gymnastics equipment has been a very positive discovery for us.

All the Wesco products we have used Renmore Gymnastics seem to be manufactured to a very high quality, with competitive prices and no International shipping costs!!! If you are looking into purchasing foam modules for schools or pre-school programmes, it’s worth checking out the Wesco Ireland gym modules. Arrange to visit our training centre if you want to see the modules in action.

The Wesco Ireland website doesn’t contain their full product range of their products. To request information or a catalogue to view the full Wesco range email: wescoireland1995@gmail.com

Renmore Gymnastics is not associated with Wesco Ireland. We find it exciting to see some of the equipment available from a local supplier and are happy to promote this development.

Thank you Rick McCharles!

On behalf of all of Renmore Gymnastics (coaches, gymnasts, parents, etc), I would like to send a huge thank you to Rick McCharles who gave us the incredible honour of coming to Ireland to spend the better part of a week with our club. We are all amazed at Rick’s dedication to make sure that every gymnast who was in the gym during his visit got to spend some time with him, whether he was playing games with a group or showing the coaches a useful new drill.

We know that Rick’s visit has left a huge impression on all of the coaching team and we plan to put his teachings into use immediately.

Rick, you are invited back whenever you want! Enjoy Switzerland and hiking in Croatia!

Here are a couple of photos that Rick took of our facility while he was here:
